Our client, a leading aerospace company, is seeking an experienced ESH Specialist to join their team. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing site processes and procedures for environmental health and safety, regulatory compliance, and business requirements.
You will be responsible for promoting a safe workplace environment and fostering an EHS-conscious culture throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote a safe workplace environment without risk to health and minimize the impact to the environment
• Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
• Accurately and timely record clockings and bookings for time and attendance and job costings
• Maintain clean and organized workstations, adhering to a clear desk policy
• Comply with all Quality standards, processes, and procedures, minimizing wastage
• Support cost reduction and management initiatives
• Keep knowledge and training up to date for necessary operations
• Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative working environment
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned
Key Requirements:
• NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety
• Several years of experience in multiple EHS areas in a manufacturing environment
• In-depth knowledge of Environmental and Health & Safety Regulations
• Proficient in Risk Assessment, COSHH, PUWER, DSEAR, and Safety Management Systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
• NEBOSH Diploma in Health & Safety
• IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management
• Six Sigma training
• Noise at Work Training
• Industrial Hygienist competency qualification

• Good and timely decision-making
• Effective oral and written communication
• Strong interpersonal and team working skills
• Analytical mindset
