We are looking to recruit a Children & Family Worker to deliver the Children and Family focused spiritual programmes within the Darlington Corps and local community, in accordance with the Missional Journal, to bring children and families into a living faith in Jesus.

 •  Support the operational delivery of the children’s, family work and spiritual programme within the Corps and local community.
 •  Lead Christian worship in the context of children and family ministry.
 •  Support the Corps Officer and Children’s Ministry Team in delivering programmes to celebrate children and family work.
 •  Demonstrate both a professional and caring manner when interacting with programme participants.
 •  Contribute into the planning and review processes for the programmes and activities.
 •  Maintain close links to the community and any relevant external agencies.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

 •  A commitment to Christianity and is a practising Christian with a willingness and ability to bring ministry to the community.
 •  Experience of organising community activities for a range of different programme participants.
 •  Ability to prioritise, organise and manage your own workload to meet objectives.
 •  Good communication skills and to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, programme participants and external stakeholders.

This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
