Director, Head of Valuation

TML Recruitment are partnered with a leading property practice in their efforts to further grow their hugely reputable firm. We are mandated with a strategic hire to find a head of valuation to lead their business. The valuation division makes up a third of the business which boasts over 10 offices UK wide covering all property disciplines.

The valuation division is made up of c.30 staff, with an already strong infrastructure built beneath the head of department. The main responsibility for this role would be to slot in and build on what has already been achieved taking the valuation business to the next level with a focus of managing the division and proactively developing new business.

This role is also a key member of the organisations leadership team therefore is jointly responsible for the delivery of the Business Strategy and Objectives.

The role will continue to evolve the structure of the team, in conjunction with the directors that report into this, ensure business development success and that clients receive excellent service. The incumbent will add value through peer reviews, excellence in coaching and an ability to get ownership for delivery against goals through the whole team.

The business operate around 65% residential to 35% commercial valuation but there is a large focus to drive commercial further throughout the UK. Our client works on all major panels including some of the large banks and this role would require upkeep of key relationships developing these relationships further.

 •  A recognised, great leader and communicator with excellent (industry) contacts and business development skills, with a strong track record of winning business (including across disciplines).
 •  A market expert with proven client management ability and first-class service delivery.
 •  Ambitious, proactive, and driven individual who is continuously seeking to self-develop, expand their knowledge base and skill set.
