Job Title: ICT Support Technician

Summary:

The ICT Support Technician will be a key member of the ICT Team providing remote support to all employees across the UK, offering technical assistance, troubleshooting, and resolving IT issues. Responsibilities will range from 1st line support, managing end user devices, through to assisting in implementation of bespoke IT projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 •  Be an active and supportive member of the ICT team, working in collaboration and autonomously to meet the needs of the organisation.
 •  Act as first line response for daily ICT requests through the online helpdesk software and dealing with any queries, escalating requests or jobs to relevant other members the ICT team as required.
 •  Maintain and update the Helpdesk knowledge base.
 •  Using the Group’s remote access software to manage and deal with basic 1st level requests to provide remote support to end users.
 •  Maintain the hardware and software asset registers.
 •  Managing the build, configuration & issue and return of IT devices to & from end users.
 •  Manage the resolution of hardware issues through manufacturers or 3rd party suppliers.
 •  Flexibility and ability to visit other Group sites to provide support, training or assist with hardware/software installations when required.

Skills/Qualifications (Required):

 •  A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in an IT helpdesk/technician or similar role.
 •  A working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software and hardware, including Windows Desktop/Server, and Microsoft 365 Office applications.
 •  Ability to use and offer support on Active Directory, Windows and Office 365 and other common desktop/cloud applications.
 •  Working Knowledge of service ticketing applications.
 •  Ability to install, configure and manage hardware, including PC, Printers, and networking equipment.
 •  Full UK driving License.
 •  Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications would be a plus.
 •  Minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above (including Maths and English)

You'll also need to have:

 •  Strong oral and written communication skills (English)
 •  The ability to adaptable and learn quickly
 •  A customer service orientation
 •  Good multitasking skills
 •  Problem analysis and problem-solving abilities
