EATING DISORDERS – Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager

Kimmeridge Court is a 10 bedded Inpatient unit and 4 place day programme for over 18’s

It is an exciting time to join the inpatient and day programme team as we have recently moved into a purpose-built new building in the grounds of St Ann’s Hospital, Poole. As a result of additional investment, we are increasing our staff compliment to support the opening of 4 additional beds, taking us from 6 to 10 beds.
We have also created new roles to offer opportunity for career progression for staff who wish to remain in eating disorders but do not necessarily want to move out of the inpatient and day programme setting,

The aim will be for you will work in the numbers 2 shifts per week, the remaining 3 days will be 9-5 for management specific responsibilities.

We promote learning and development, and all staff are encouraged and supported throughout their career to grow and develop. We provide an initial induction, inhouse and other training opportunities, plus clinical and management supervision. Your continuous professional development will be planned and tailored to your needs together with support to achieve your personal objectives set via annual appraisal and you will receive regular clinical and management supervision.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse (RMN) who can work effectively and dynamically in a busy and demanding setting to join our eating disorders inpatient and day programme team as Deputy Ward Manager.

The Deputy Ward Manager undertakes a dual clinical and leadership role, acting as a deputy for the Ward Manager. They play a key role in the day-to-day management of ward, are a main point of contact for advice/decisions and will support, supervise, and manage staff.

Experience of eating disorders is desirable but not essential as learning and development will be provided.

Experience of line managing is desirable but not essential as training and support will be given.
