Polytec are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for our client based in Royston.
Responsibilities:
• Act as liaison between internal departments and external customers and suppliers
• Develop and implement manufacturing methods from supply chain through to final stage
• Work with designers and engineers throughout product development projects
• Implement best practice methods to improve efficiency in production
• Resolve manufacturing issues through guidance and prioritisation
• Root cause analysis, implementing solutions such as jigs and fixtures, process change or design change
• Develop, maintain and improving manufacturing documentation
• Generate FMEA analysis as required
Requirements:
• Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering
• Substantial experience in manufacturing engineering or electromechanical assemblies and implementation of lean manufacturing technologies
• Successful in NPI from design to delivery to production
• Excellent manufacturing engineering and process development skills
• Experience in the design of jigs and fixtures for manufacturing
• A good understanding of engineering principles and Design for Manufacture
• Commercial awareness
