Multi Trades Recruitment are looking for a Handyman for an immediate start.
Please note: This role is covering the whole of East Sussex
Key Accountabilities:
• Completion of PPM and reactive works activities in accordance with contract requirement
• To provide support and expertise to assist the helpdesk team and operational team
• To supervise works carried out by specialist subcontractors, reporting anomalies to the operational leads
• Work with operational leads to identify opportunities to self-deliver subcontracted maintenance activities
• To ensure all statutory records are available and up to date
• To be aware of and have a good working understanding and practical hands-on input, in the control of legionella and associated required works
Other duties include, however, are not limited to:
• Post/parcel management
• Fire door checks
• Water hygiene checks- L8 checks
• Emergency lighting checks
• Carry out daily, weekly and monthly PPM checks
• Basic plumbing tasks
• Carpentry
• Painting and decorating
• Building installation and repair ( carpet fitting, repairing walls, gutter clearance and drainage)
• Putting together furniture and equipment (following manufactures guides)
• Installing appliances and machines
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong communication skills.
• Root Cause problem-solving driven with a risk mitigation orientated mindset to manage risk associated with symptoms. Team player capable of leading and focusing team members to achieve their objectives.
• Strong IT skills (Word, Excel).
• Good report writing skills.
• Hold a full UK Driving licence.
Experience:
• Proven experience in a previous or similar role in a professional Facilities Management environment
• Understanding of the FM industry
• Working in a fast-paced, high-profile, critical environment
• Communicate at all levels with specialists and non-specialists

• £14.18 per hour paid on a weekly basis
