Deputy Lead Nurse (Band 6)

Key Duties Include: Ensure team working principles are in place throughout the shift. Support the Lead Nurse and Head of Hospice and Community Services in their roles and promote the vision, mission and values of the Hospice. Planning and implementing care for children and young people, with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, within the hospice.
Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of children and young people in partnership with them and their parents/guardians Providing excellent short break, palliative and end of life care at Rainbows in a family centred environment in conjunction with all members of the multi-disciplinary team Ensuring all procedures are carried out in accordance with local and national policies in force within the Hospice Further responsibilities in the role of a Band 6 Nurse at Rainbows, can be found by downloading the Job Description.

Requirements: As a Band 6 Deputy lead Nurse at Rainbows, you'll need to be qualified RSCN/RN (Child Branch)/RNLD/RGN with at least 3 years post registration experience. Experience with children and/or young people (0-25 years) with complex needs is also required for the role.
Palliative care experience is desirable, however specialist training and development opportunities will be provided. Excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate high standards of clinical care are essential. Further requirements can be found by downloading the Person Specification.
