Position 1 Recruitment are looking for Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our client, manufacturing site based in Bury St Edmunds. Our client is a leading producer for the food and beverage market, and due to the ongoing growth, they are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their friendly engineering team.
Multi-Skilled Engineer will be shift based, supporting process operations and maintenance activities across the site.
Reporting to the Engineering Shift Lead and working as part of a multi-skilled team on shift, this role will carry out planned and reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance as required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work as part of the engineering team to carry out maintenance work on machinery and equipment This includes maintenance of packaging, milling, and product handling equipment as well as site infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting and practical fault finding on plant, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Installation and commissioning of new plant or modifications as appropriate
• Carry out planned inspection routes on process plant and proactive maintenance.
• Reporting of all engineering activities in the appropriate format into a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Multi-Skilled Engineer will have a proven track record of effective technical problem solving, fault diagnosis, maintenance, and continuous improvement. Experience of working in a lean operating environment, preferably FMCG. Experience of working in an operational team of varying disciplines and skill levels.
ONC / HNC in Engineering supported by a recognised apprenticeship.
This is a permanent, full-time position with Shift rotation including night shift. Generous salary on offer as well as following benefits: 26 paid holidays + bank holidays, Competitive Pension with matched contribution, Private medical cover, Discounted Employee shop
