Our client is a leading Mechanical and Electrical contractor who specializes and installation projects across the residential, commercial, Industrial, and educational sectors. Founded in 1978 my client has overbuilt relationships with some of the industry's leading names, which has led to health order books for 2024.
My client is looking to add a M&E Quantity Surveyor to their team.

About the role

My client is now seeking an Experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This role involves overseeing the financial aspects of electrical contracts, preparing detailed cost reports, and collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse projects across the southeast.

As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
 •  Managing all commercial activities throughout the full cycle of the project, assisting with compiling tender bids for submission of absolute maximum price construction of the project and engaging with Subcontractors / Suppliers during this phase.
 •  Review and negotiation of the Contract with our Client, with support from the senior management team.
 •  Negotiation and Contract placement of the Sub-Contract Agreements with our specialist Sub-Contractors.
 •  Preparation and submission of monthly interim valuations to our client in line with our Contract.
 •  Manage, value, and agree variations to the Contract.
 •  Carry out the valuation, preparation, and submission of compliant payment notices to our Subcontractors by the subcontract agreement.
 •  Management and agreement of variations with our Subcontractors.
 •  Monthly production and presentation of financial reports for the project in line with the company timetable.
 •  Agreement of final accounts upstream and downstream.

Requirements: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Electrical Quantity Surveying

ONC, HNC, BSc, or similar qualification
Proficiency in financial management, budget analysis, and cost estimation
Ability to prepare monthly valuations and variation quotations.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to attend client and site meetings.
