We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Management Accountant to become part of our fast-growing team as we continue to onboard new clients.

Tasks

Initially supported by one of our established Management Accountants your role will be to assist in the management of finances for a specific range of clients.

Once settled you'll take on the role of Management Accountant on a number of clients managing the finances for your own protfolio.

You will be reconciling balance sheet accounts for clients, posting accrual, prepayment and other relevant journals, as well as preparing month-end management accounts reports with commentary.

You’ll also produce other ad hoc reports for clients, as well as preparing VAT returns, cashflow forecasting & budget setting.

Much like an internal Management Accountant or Finance Manager, you will build strong relationships with key stakeholders, working together to ensure best practice and that our clients have the right information to make the right decisions at the right times.

You’ll liaise with the wider business where necessary, working with senior team members to offer support when needed.

Requirements

First and foremost, you need have a minimum of 1 financial cycle, producing management accounts within a practice or industry setting.

Supporting the wider team and more junior colleagues will be important. You’ll be able to talk about how you have supported your peers or more junior team members in your previous roles.

Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and specifically Excel, Lookups and Pivot tables will be essential.

Having knowledge of Xero is also highly desirable for this Assistant Management Accountant position, but not essential as training can be provided.

Being organised and methodical is really important. You’ll need to be able to prioritise your own workload and meet deadlines.

We need someone who is adaptive and able to learn quickly. An interest in new technology and cloud software would be ideal too!
