Job Description
The Role:
• Working closely with the factory team to maximise profit and performance
• Provide accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting
• Provide strong front-line financial analysis
• Provide transactional finance support to the site, including P&L, Balance sheet and cashflow
• Ensure financial transactions are processed and financial records updated promptly
• Contribute to site financial reviews
• Monitor project expenditure, such as CAPEX and R&D
• Support with inventory control and stock takes
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Product costing, and cost analysis
• Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to streamline financial processes
• Develop and maintain internal control systems to ensure accountability
• Support with audit process
The Successful Applicant
The Ideal Candidate:
• AAT Level 3 essential
• AAT Level 4 desirable
• Currently working towards or aspiring to work towards a further professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA etc)
• Experience in a similar role within manufacturing (ideally food manufacturing) or similar
• Continuous improvement mindset with an understanding of LEAN principles or similar
• Analytical, commercially-minded, and excellent attention to detail
• Excellent IT skills with high proficiency in MS Excel
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex data clearly and work effectively with all levels of management and employees
