Engineering Supervisor

Location: London – Canary Wharf
Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

Role Purpose: As the Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for efficiently controlling work services, supporting projects, moves, churn, and operational activities across the portfolio for our client. Your role will involve coordinating, planning, and monitoring subcontract works, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Additionally, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the onsite team, providing leadership and support.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

 •  Host, oversee, and collaborate with visiting contractors for both project-related and operational team activities.
 •  Manage work delivery at client premises, ensuring adherence to quality objectives and timely project completion.
 •  Ensure safe execution of work in compliance with safe systems of work.
 •  Meet SLAs and PPMs set by the contract.
 •  Innovate and improve best practices to support growth and development.
 •  Develop and share ideas and knowledge within the team.
 •  Ensure completion of all reactive Helpdesk Requests within SLAs.
 •  Participate in an on-call rota to support out-of-hours emergencies.
 •  Maintain effective communication with project managers, contractors, customers, and client representatives.
 •  Provide suitable Health & Safety information to contractors, ensuring compliance with protocols and requirements.
 •  Issue and clear Permits to Work as required within the discipline.
 •  Conduct inspections of work equipment and workplace, documenting findings and taking appropriate action.
 •  Coordinate with FM infrastructure teams for isolations, reconnections, and handover of completed works.
 •  Proactively seek innovation for continuous improvement in service provision.
 •  Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures, and legal requirements.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

 •  Building Services Knowledge.
 •  Minimum 5 years' experience in the industry with Mechanical/Electrical Knowledge.
 •  Understanding of complex systems and drawings.
 •  Experience with Lotto and tag out process isolate.
 •  Understanding of UPS and ELV systems, LV switching Knowledge.
 •  Facility knowledge in commercial buildings and R&D.
 •  Working on MCCP panels, fire systems including panels and sprinkler systems.
 •  Completion of log books for audits.
 •  HSE Knowledge.
 •  City & Guilds or equivalent in Engineering, Building Services, Construction, or related discipline.
 •  SMSTMS / IOSH / NEBOSH certification desirable.
