Programme Manager - CRUK Earlier Diagnosis of Bowel Cancer

This is an exciting opportunity to work across different parts of the healthcare system and to increase the number of bowel cancers detected at an early stage.

At the Wessex Cancer Alliance we work with primary, secondary and community care to increase the number of people diagnosed with cancer at an early stage. We are looking for an experienced project manager for a fixed term (22 months) to co-design, manage and oversee the evaluation of a project with Cancer Research UK to quickly implement changes that will affect stage shift in bowel cancer.

Key responsibilities include :
 •  Implementing assigned local and national programmes across Wessex.
 •  Leading a high-profile programme across Wessex, involving strategic thinking, quality improvement, programme management and stakeholder engagement across primary care, public health, secondary care, and local communities.
 •  Working closely with service partners to develop and implement strategic and operational and plans to deliver the programme outcomes.
 •  Providing programme management leadership and expertise to support sites as required.
 •  Design, facilitate and effectively lead programme management meetings with stakeholders, ensuring breadth in participation and a focus on action planning.
 •  Budget management.

We are looking for someone educated to Masters level or equivalent experience, with experience of facilitating multi professional groups and an understanding of the NHS.
