FP&A Accountant
About Our Client
This is a rapidly growing business seeking to add an FP&A Accountant to their team.
Job Description
• Record, monitor and evaluate KPIs and targets across the business
• Perform financial evaluations on business units, customers, brands etc
• Perform detailed analysis of sales and margin and report to internal stakeholders and other departments
• Prepare channel P&Ls for monthly board reports
• Contribute to annual budgets and quarterly forecasts utilising understanding of P&L drivers developed in your analysis.
• Contribute to monthly management accounts and board reports by analysing key P&L accounts for variances and comment
• Contribute to analysis and control of rebate calculations and reporting
• Analyse balance sheet reports for accuracy, control and identifying opportunities and risk
• Assist the Credit Control Supervisor with performance reporting on debt collections
• Act as key point of contact for expertise on data, reporting, Excel and internal business systems
• Oversee key budgets and cost centres, working with budget holders to control and forecast spending
• Undertake ad hoc business case evaluations such as for significant capital expenditure, contracts or projects
• Develop cross-functional relationships and act as a finance business partner for other departments
• Analyse and review certain key reconciliations
• Act as a port of call for other members in the department if guidance is required
• Perform any other reasonable duties as requested
The Successful Applicant
• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA studiers/qual or QBE will be considered
• 3-5 years previous experience in a similar role managing large volumes of data and providing in depth analysis from a commercial perspective
• Proficient in both management and financial accounting
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential, SQL or similar programming language understanding is an advantage
