Position title: Senior Finance Analyst (12 Month FTC)
Location: Bristol area (Avonmouth)
Reports to: Finance Manager Contract, full-time, hybrid system
What you’ll be doing
The Senior Finance Analyst provides the day-to-day financial support for the business. You will be part of the Commercial Finance team for the UK, supporting across Newell’s multiple brands in order to understand and improve performance to deliver profitable growth for the business.
This role sits in the Commercial Finance team that is integral to driving the business forward and making key commercial decisions.
Requirements
To work with us you will need to…
• Prepare and review regular reporting, including the provision of insightful commentary developed with the business highlighting risks and opportunities
• Provide ad hoc commercial analysis and recommendations to support channel deliverables.
• Develop and analyse promotional pricing and business cases
• Business partner Sales Heads of to help them understand the gross margin of their product portfolio and drive improved profitability
• Develop and drive through improvements to forecasting, reporting and other financial processes to gain better control and visibility of performance
• Work with financial control team to ensure the accuracy of the month-end figures
• Leading the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the sales teams, identifying key assumptions and challenges that are embedded in the plans
Experience you’ll need…
• Excellent academic record up to degree level
• To be a Qualified accountant
• Self-Motivated individual who can hit the ground running
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages Excel; PowerPoint;
