We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR to join the EVENING SHIFT team of a thriving IPSWICH based distribution business, part of a $billion Multinational.
Working 6pm to 2am, Monday to Friday nights the salary is anticipated to be in the region of £30,000 (negotiable with experience).
• The successful WAREHOUSE SUPERVSOR will be the Senior person on site during the evening shift and as such will be responsible for:
• Supervising a team of 10 skilled Operatives within a Warehouse / Yard environment
• Safe and proper use of diverse lifting equipment
• Best allocation of people and resources to achieve planned activity targets
• Adherence to Health & safety procedures and best practice
• Updating inventory records and associated documentation
• Facilitating smooth shift handovers
Your team will be primarily responsible for:
• Loading & unloading lorries
• Order picking and preparation
• Stock rotation
• General housekeeping
• Receiving & despatching containers
• Loading & unloading trailers
• Housekeeping within the warehouse & yard areas
For your application as the WAREHOSUE SUPERVISOR to be successful, your cv should highlight the following key skills and experience:
• Team management / supervision
• Experience gained in a warehouse, yard or transport type environment
• Understanding and application of Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Computer literate including bar code scanning technology
• Systems surrounding stock management, goods in & out, despatch etc
• Working to a strict daily plan or work schedule
• Fit and able to work in a drafty warehouse / outdoor transport yard environment
• Previous experience of using lifting equipment would be advantageous

This WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR position will ideally suit someone who has already worked in a similar Team Leader, Supervisory or Management capacity with an emphasis on adhering to safe working practices and procedures.
