PageGroup are delighted to support a highly successful logistics organisation based in Burton on Trent with the appointment of a People Manager to join a busy distribution site.
This role can offer hybrid working - 4 days on site and 1 home per week.
Job Description
Reporting to a regional People Partner and supporting the site leadership team, the role of People Manager is a fast-paced and varied role supporting with all people matters on this unionised site.
Duties will include but not limited to:
• Lead and manage the Human Resources team, providing guidance and support.
• Develop and implement effective HR strategies that align with the company's objectives.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement and satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Handle employee relations issues and provide solutions.
• Oversee recruitment, selection, on boarding, and training processes.
• Monitor and manage performance appraisal system.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain excellent relationships with trade unions at the site
The Successful Applicant
Ideal candidates for this role will have a proven background within a similar People Manager role, essentially you will have proven experience dealing with trade unions.
