About Our Client

Our client is a respected animal welfare charity based in London. With a workforce of over 500 dedicated employees, the charity is committed to promoting compassion and respect for all animals. They operate in the non-profit sector and are renowned for their impactful work across the country.

Job Description
 •  Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements.
 •  Providing financial guidance to support strategic decision-making.
 •  Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
 •  Contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes.
 •  Working closely with department heads to optimise cost efficiency.
 •  Overseeing financial audits and coordinating with external auditors.
 •  Managing a small team within the Accounting & Finance department.
 •  Participating in the ongoing development and refinement of financial policies and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Management Accountant should have:

 •  An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
 •  Demonstrable experience in a similar role within the charity sector.
 •  Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
 •  Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
 •  Proficient use of accounting software and IT systems.
 •  Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
 •  Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial colleagues.
