Maintenance Engineer
Willenhall, West Midlands
£27,000 to £30,000 depending on experience
Monday to Friday
Our Client is a long-established and very successful metal forming company based in Willenhall in the West Midlands. Recent refurbishment has made this the most modern facility in the UK, offering extensive in-house services to their clients.
They are now seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their busy workforce.
What’s on offer?
• Working hours Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm; Friday 8:00am to 3:30pm.
• Half hour unpaid lunch.
• Competitive salary of £27,000 to £30,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
• 33 days per year holiday inclusive of bank holidays to be taken during factory shutdown periods.
• Job training supported by any suitable external or in-house training for mutual benefit.
• Excellent transport links if required, plus on-site parking.
Reporting directly to the Production Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
• Assessment of machinery not operating efficiently and correctly
• Mechanical repair and maintenance on a range of varied mainly hydraulic and mechanical equipment and plant and machinery (primarily power presses, hammers, gas fired furnaces.)
• Alongside the hydraulic and mechanical engineering repairs/maintenance, necessary electrical and electronic duties/tasks will be required
• Maintenance and repairs to CNC machinery
• Reactive and planned maintenance.
To be successful in the role of Maintenance Engineer, you will need the following skills and experience:
• Proven experience of working in a similar role
• Previous experience of working in a high-volume engineering environment
• Practical or formal mechanical engineering experience required. QBE will be considered
• Electrical or electronic engineering qualifications are desirable
• Welding skills and ability would be advantageous
• Working knowledge of current health and safety safe operating procedures and legislation
• Good communication skills and a can-do attitude.
• A genuine and passionate interest in engineering and manufacturing.
The position of Maintenance Engineer would suit someone with experience in a similar role, or Maintenance Fitter in an engineering environment
