JOB ROLE: Accounts Assistant
LOCATION: Ilminster, Somerset
HOURS: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
SALARY & BENEFITS: £26,000 - £30,000 PA DOE

THE ROLE: You will be a detail orientated individual with a strong aptitude for numbers and a passion for accounting and payroll. As the Accounts Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting a seasoned team of accountants in various accountancy tasks.

KEY DUTIES:

 •  Managing a portfolio of payroll clients, ensuring all payrolls are processed correctly and on time
 •  Processing payrolls weekly, fortnightly, and monthly
 •  Arranging pension submissions and ensuring auto-enrolment obligations are fulfilled
 •  Providing bookkeeping services to clients
 •  Preparing VAT returns
 •  Preparing accounts for review by Managers / Partners
 •  Supporting clients with queries

DO YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES?
 •  Experience of payroll.
 •  Prior accounts experience - industry or practice considered.
 •  Good communication skills to allow for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
 •  Knowledge of Sage Line 50 Payroll, MS Office and ideally accounting software.
 •  Good attention to detail and logical approach to problem solving.
