About Our Client
Fantastic Opportunity for an Experienced Finance Manager with Experience of working within Education in Croydon.
Job Description
• You will be responsible for a number of areas including preparation of management accounts, monthly pension returns and quarterly VAT returns.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts including journal entries, reconciliation of control accounts and bank accounts
• Monitoring and analysis of income and expenditure
• Dealing with payroll queries
• Posting of credit card transactions and preparation of credit card reconciliations
• Prepare accurate and timely financial ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-effective procurement practices.
• Authorisation of weekly invoices and preparation for payment runs
• Ensuring HR data is updated for payroll purposes and preparing monthly payroll reconciliations
The Successful Applicant
• The successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate sound knowledge of accounting, financial planning and regulatory requirements.
• Experience of month-end and year-end processes and procedures
• Experience of working in an educational sector
• Experience of financial software and databases
• Knowledge of payroll and pension
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing at all levels
• Ability to demonstrate effective organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative, self-motivating and with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to meet tight, conflicting deadlines when required, whilst maintaining attention to detail
• May be working towards an accountancy degree
