An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 8A Acute Oncology Lead Nurse to join Aneurin Bevan University Health Board AOS service. We are seeking an enthusiastic, forward-thinking lead nurse for our team of 6 nurses who deliver care to acute oncology patients, across ABUHB's four acute hospitals in collaboration with oncology services provided by Velindre Cancer Centre.

The role will be pan Gwent and cover, Royal Gwent hospital, The Grange University hospital, Nevill Hall hospital and Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr.

The post holder will work as a highly skilled practitioner, with expert knowledge in the side effects of oncology treatment. They will be a competent educator, a clinical leader and have the ability to maintain clinical excellence. A primary focus will be the continued development and implementation of the AOS improvement plan which includes, an integrated AHP and Nursing model, ambulatory pathways, and improved on site oncology care.

You will join a, forward thinking and innovative management team who are committed to improving services for cancer patients in ABUHB. You must demonstrate evidence of leadership and be able to influence a wide audience of stakeholders. A flexible approach and commitment to service development is essential for this post.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
