CMA are currently working with a reputable business based near Winchester who are looking to appoint an interim Payroll Specialist for a ten month fixed term contract. Working within a small payroll team, you will be supporting with the end to end payroll process.
This is a hybrid role which offers mainly homeworking with one to two days in the office. Easily accessible by public transport.
What will the Payroll Specialist role involve?
Assisting the Payroll Manager with maintaining the payroll systems and preparing the monthly payroll, completing the end to end process
Coordinate payroll data from Manager and the HR Team to feed into the payroll process
Review new starter documentation, processing secondments, transfers and leavers and other amendments to salaries and employee data
Inputting, calculating and recording sickness payments and all statutory payments such as SSP and SMP
Reconciliation and submission of pension deductions and liaising with the external Pension Scheme Administration company to enrol employees onto the scheme
Support the smooth transition of payroll matters for newly acquired subsidiaries
Keep up to date with legal, statutory and technical matters regarding payroll and pension processes
Suitable Candidate for the Payroll Specialist vacancy:
Experience of working in and end to end payroll department ideally within a multi-site company
Thorough understanding of the payroll process including a detailed knowledge of HMRC requirements with regards to tax, national insurance, statutory deductions and payments
Awareness of current pension legislation relating to Auto Enrolment.
