We are looking for a Children’s Speech and Language therapist and have flexible hours available for this role.

Salary/Rate: £18.14 - £23.14 per hour. Dependant on experience. Term Time only.

Based at Ingfield Manor School, Billingshurst, RH14 9AX

Ingfield Manor School is an innovative day and weekly boarding school for 80 students aged 3-19 with neuro-motor impairments and Speech communication and language needs. Our school is an exciting and rewarding place to work with excellent resources, a strong transdisciplinary team and a drive to provide holistic, individualised education and therapy for all our students.
Clinical support and supervision is provided and there are opportunities for continued professional development.

We have recently opened our new Woodview provision for students who require support with emotional, communication, social and learning needs and we therefore require an experienced speech and language therapist to develop and deliver an effective service which embeds evidenced based interventions in all aspects of the school day for these students.

Ingfield Manor School is committed to safeguarding children and young people. Any successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

To implement group and individual communication programs in collaboration with the team, to be involved in associated planning and preparation and share expertise/knowledge.
To be responsible for the integration of the school’s communication strategy to enable pupils to access the whole curriculum.
To assess, plan and implement communication strategies such as AAC systems for children who require them.
To identify requirements for resources and share these with the Lead Speech and Language Therapist.
To work alongside other team members, delegating roles for assessment and monitoring of communication skill development as appropriate
To maintain up to date knowledge of research and clinical practice, identify service development opportunities and implement these in consultation with the Lead Speech and Language Therapist.
