Teaching Assistant
Additional Learning Needs and SEBD (Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties)
Location - Caerphilly
Pay rate – £84.50 per day (£422.50 per week)
Hours - Monday to Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm), school term time

This position is supporting a pupil with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties (SEBD) within a school and unit that prides itself on inclusivity and wellbeing successfully. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an experienced and compassionate team who are committed to providing individual pupil support.

Responsibilities:
• Working within a small class to support pupils who have complex SEBD and additional learning needs.
• Supporting pupils in enhancing self-esteem and social interaction skills.
• Encouraging pupils to take pride in their achievements and celebrate them.
• Supporting pupils to management their behaviour, emotions, and frustration.
• Working closely as part of a team with other members of teaching staff.
Requirements:
• Experience of working with pupils in a similar environment and of a similar age within the last 3 years.
• Strong behaviour management skills and communication skills
• Ability to build strong rapport with pupils based on mutual trust and respect.
