Principal People are working exclusively on behalf of a leading Logistics organization who are looking for a Senior Health and Safety Manager to join the business.
Leading a core sector within the business, this is a hybrid role covering sites over the North of England and Scotland, a full driving licence is essential. You will have the opportunity to develop and mentor the regional health and safety team reporting into this role and so having previous team management experience will be beneficial.
Reporting directly into the Managing Director, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead one of the company’s busiest and most varied business sectors. There are various locations within the sector and this is an excellent opportunity to install and develop a progressive safety culture throughout the business.
Senior Health and Safety Manager – Northern Region - £70K - £80K + Car Allowance – Transport and Logistics
The key duties include:
Lead and take ownership of HSE planning and strategy, through culture, people, budgets and key metrics
Be a core member of the senior leadership team, taking ownership within senior meetings
Promote, engage, and deliver the HSE strategy driving tangible improvements in safety performance and culture
Support, coach, and guide management teams on all aspects of HSE
Provide excellent HSE knowledge and advice ensuring best practices in health and safety
Lead on statistical analysis and trends to identify areas of opportunity for change and improvement Why should you apply for the role?
