SEN TA work - open to Care workers

Hackney | Contract | www.cv-library.co.uk |
Do you come from a care background or are a recent graduate?

Keen to work in East London? Roles available now and September 2024.

Do you have the three Ps - Patience, Positivity and Perseverance?

Being an SEN teaching assistant requires a unique skill set due to the complex needs you are likely to come across. Specifically, it is important to be:

Patient

SEN pupils are likely to take longer than other pupils to understand something or complete a task.

Positive

It's important that you remain positive and offer plenty of praise!

Perseverant

Most importantly, never give up on your SEN pupils. Persevere with their learning.

If you feel you have these qualities get in touch today as I am currently looking for people who are keen to make a difference in a child's life.

The role of a SEN Teaching assistant can be the most rewarding job you have ever had.

Key Responsibilities
 •  To work alongside the class teacher and other members of staff to maintain a meaningful, supporting and secure learning environment.
 •  To deliver small group/1:1 intervention.
 •  To aid staff in delivering educational programmes.
 •  To be part of a classroom team, under the direction of the class teacher and or learning mentors.
 •  To participate in team meetings, reporting on pupil performance.
 •  To support pupils with their personal and behavioural development.

The Ideal Candidate will:

 •  Have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs in particular EBD, SEMH or ADHD.
 •  The ability to demonstrate the value of education whilst keeping the pupils safe.
 •  Team Teach Qualification or other positive handling experience.
 •  An up to date Enhanced DBS, preferably on the update service.
 •  Is positive, dedicated and resilient - as it is a challenging role, but can be very rewarding.
 •  Have excellent verbal and written skills.
 •  Have a calm, patient and positive approach to your work and the ability to communicate well on all levels.

Your position will help to create an outstanding learning environment for pupils by providing the support they need to succeed. This is the kind of role that will give you the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and build up a portfolio of work and outstanding experience for further career development.
As a Behaviour Support Worker/TA you will gain solid experience working within the SEN sector.

Plus, recommend a friend who's looking for a new teaching or support role and we will thank you with £125 for every Teacher and Teaching Assistant that registers and works for 10 days.
