Siamo Group are currently recruiting for an experienced ‘Robot Engineer’ on behalf of a leading company in the industrial automation field, at a global level.

Job Summary
Works in collaboration with Engineering department on the development and try-out of new and innovating technologies. Develop new architectures and technical applications such as Vision Systems/Robot Guidance/Robots/Welding controlled peripheral equipment and other technically applications to install.
Responsible for Robots programming ‘in house’ shop floor (in according to regional organization) and in Customer Site.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be reporting to Commissioning & Site Manager
Main areas of responsibilities are:
Be involved in Handover phase with Engineering.
Focused on Time and Cost Management
Collaborate to Identify new project risks.
Manage the customer requests related to robot activities.
Participate in team and project reviews.
Technical link on site between customer and engineering including feedback and lessons learned.
Track and record update status and variation on the original scope.
Coordinate internal and outsourced Robot team.
Configure, start-up and debug Robot Network, I/O and Communication.
Configure the auxiliary robot equipment.
Validation and debug of robot path programs: Weld, Material Handling, Maintenance, Tip Dress.
Validation and debug of Safety features (if applicable)
Guarantee whole system functionalities respecting cycle-time and product quality.
Create documentation compliant with customer commissioning standard.
Deliver Customer training, and maintenance instructions.

Experience in welding, sealing, etc.
Knowledge in offline simulation systems is preferred.

Strong communication skills at all levels.
Strong teamwork attitude
Available to travel and to assignment abroad
Interpersonal soft skill and good relationship with supplier and customer
Problem solving & implementation of countermeasures.
Capable to work in Global matrix organizations.
Qualifications
High school diploma required.
Engineering degree preferred.
Previous experiences
Experience in robot programming.
Significant customer site working experience.
Languages
English: intermediate
Second language preferred (German, Spanish, French)
Salary - 40-55k annum, depending on experience, plus car allowance of £6k per year.
The successful candidate will need to be able to travel to the sites and be away from home on occasions.
Hours – 37.5hrs Per Week
Benefits
25 days holidays plus 8 bank holidays
Pension - 6% employer / 3% employee contributions
