Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a new challenge?

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Finance Manager to collaborate with the Head of Finance on day-to-day operations within the finance department.

If you have experience leading a team and would enjoy delivering robust numbers, this role would suit.

Our client is growing and as such is looking for a candidate who wants to make improvements and is able to influence key stakeholders.

We are working with this client on a sole agency basis and we have immediate interview slots.

This position offers opportunities for career development as part of the long-term plans of the organisation.

You'll be a key part of improving the finance procedures, assisting with important financial responsibilities, and ensuring operations run smoothly.

Main areas of responsibility.

Coach and lead a team of finance assistants in executing daily, weekly, and monthly financial operations.
Support the finance team with daily banking, sales ledger, purchase ledger, and credit control.
Manage team performance, recognition, and wellbeing.

Reconcile control accounts, and process monthly journals (including accruals and prepayments)
Conduct weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
Manage the fixed asset register.
Prepare management accounts, statistical analysis, and reporting.
Prepare VAT return.
Generate financial reports for budget monitoring.
Develop and maintain finance department procedures.

Skills, knowledge, and experience:

Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
Experience managing and developing a team.
Honest, discreet, and committed to confidentiality.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders
