Role Overview:
Genus PLC (ABS Global) has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for an Internal Sales Advisor to provide sales, marketing, and customer service expertise to target customers. The position is located in our Stapeley office and hybrid work is an option.
The Internal Sales Advisor has primary accountability for managing inbound sales, promotions, installations, and communications, while ensuring excellent customer relations and resolving customer issues in accordance with consumer laws. This role also involves proactively educating education customers, gathering feedback, and implementing improvement plans based on surveys.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Build knowledge of the company, processes, and customers to anticipate customer needs and drive marketing strategy by gaining a deep understanding of the company and its clientele.
• Anticipate customer needs and contribute to marketing strategy development.
• Support marketing strategy for target customers.
• Connect with target customers via phone and other channels to ensure sales and customer service levels are met.
• Provide guidance to new team members and work closely to influence sales, marketing, and customer service teams.
• Solve problems in straightforward situations; analyses possible solutions using technical/functional experience and judgment and precedents.
• Explain in-depth information to others in a straightforward/non-contentious manner.
• Uphold the Genus core values, mission and vision.
• Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours.
• Performs other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications: (required)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and connect with customers on the phone.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive customer experience on the phone.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and/or marketing targets and driving revenue growth.
• Ability to actively listen to customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to close sales effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customer interactions simultaneously.
• Proficient in using sales systems and software to manage customer data and track sales performance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a collaborative and cooperative mindset.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or conflicts.
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to quickly learn about new products, industry trends, and sales techniques.
• Four GCSEs/High School Diploma
• Full UK license
• Authorized to work in the U.K. without sponsorship

• Previous experience working within an agricultural environment is advantageous however not essential
