We're currently seeking a passionate English Teacher to become part of a school renowned for its dedication to providing a rewarding educational experience. This ongoing role begins in September 2024, offering continuity and stability in your teaching journey.

Salaries range from £140 to £250 per day, commensurate with experience and PayScale standards.

Position Overview:

As an English Teacher at our Stroud school, you'll have the opportunity to ignite students' passion for English literature and language. Our school ethos encourages creativity, granting you the freedom to craft engaging lessons while shouldering full planning and marking responsibilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 •  Craft and deliver captivating English lessons up to GCSE level, fostering a deep appreciation for language and literature.
 •  Support students' academic and personal growth.
 •  Provide regular assessments and constructive feedback, tracking progress and offering guidance.
 •  Cultivate a love for literature, language, and creative expression among students.
 •  While not mandatory, the ability to teach A-level English would be advantageous, enriching students' educational journey.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

 •  Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
 •  Possess an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and relevant documentation for new checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional references.
 •  Provide a comprehensive CV reflecting your employment history over the past 10 years.
 •  Legal right to work in the UK.
