Job Description
Cost Accountant duties include:
• Develop and produce accurate and timely management accounts.
• Assist with cash flow management.
• Hands on control of payables, accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations.
• Budget preparation and analysis for full P&L.
• Dealing with multi-currency transactions, customer, supplier and internal queries.
• Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are carried out monthly.
• Provide ad hoc commercial/decision support including customer/product profitability analysis
• Support the Financial Controller and Project Manager with the implementation of a new ERP system
The Successful Applicant
The successful Cost Accountant candidate will:
• Be part qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
• Have a proven track record in a similar role
• Knowledge of cost accounting would be beneficial
• Be proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables etc)
• Be an excellent communicator (written and verbal)
• Be able to work to tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
