The AICS Group specialises in providing community-based rehabilitation and support to our clients who have a brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal injuries, learning disabilities, complex behaviour, live in support and social and personal needs.

AICS Group are seeking a Male Rehabilitation Support Worker who is able to converse in Farsi, to work with a male client in Hackney Dalston. You will be working in busy, varied environment with intensive involvement from a clinical team. Support will need to be available fortnightly to attend education team meetings with the therapists.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our male client has been diagnosed with advanced dyspraxia, which has affected his cognitive development. He is diagnosed with severe global cognitive impairment and poor insight about his present difficulties. His orientation, attention, memory and executive functions have been highly affected by his brain injury.

The shift pattern is from:
 •  1 day in a week including weekend
 •  Shift patterns are as below:
 •  24/hr
PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Skills:
 •  A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a health and social care setting preferred but not essential
 •  Knowledge of Acquired or Traumatic brain injury, preferred but not essential
 •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 •  Good IT skills
 •  Ability to work in a home environment independently
 •  Ability to liaise with a clinical team
 •  Ability to implement rehabilitation activities that promote independence.
 •  Willingness to learn and ability to take on feedback

Desirable Skills:
 •  Current and clean driving licence, desirable but not essential
 •  Experience in providing care to people living within the community.
