Quality Manager (Food Safety) – working 39 hours over 4 days per week Monday to Thursday, plus option to work from home 1 of the 4 days per week if preferred.

The Role – Quality Manager (Food Safety)

As Quality Manager you will become a key member of the Operations team, providing coaching and development to colleagues to ensure company high standards are achieved. You’ll collaborate with other managers and colleagues and suggest improvements to the current systems. Other duties will include:

 •  Ensuring colleague objectives are set and reviewed
 •  Managing site KPIs, ensuring action plans are in place to deliver targets
 •  Managing the quality system, leading internal and external audit programmes with support from the Group
 •  Communicating supplier quality issues, correcting, and preventing where possible
 •  Conducting regular traceability exercises involving all departments
 •  Leading the site water source, and taking responsibility for HACCP (reviewing annually)
 •  Maintaining internal and external lab test schedules, reviewing, and communicating results

Our Requirements - Quality Manager (Food Safety)
 •  Experience gained managing a team of people, with a ‘lead-by-example’ approach
 •  Sound knowledge of production, quality and BRC (food safety) processes and documentation
 •  Some form of HACCP qualification
 •  Excellent analytical and team-working skills
 •  Superb communication skills, with the ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical people
 •  Good computer skills, with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

The Package
 •  A salary in the region of £40,000 per annum potentially negotiable for a highly experienced candidate.
 •  Permanent contract working 39 hours over 4 days per week Monday to Thursday, with option to work from home 1 day out of 4 per week if preferred.
 •  Flexibility with start and finish times available, with typical working hours being 7am to 5:15pm
 •  30 days holidays inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata)
