Contracts Manager

Our client is hiring for an incredible opportunity as a Contracts Manager based in Thatcham, Berkshire! This is a full-time, permanent role for the right candidate.

You must have proven experience running multi-disciplinary contracts in a similar role and enjoy travelling as you will be required to do occasional nights away to Scotland!

Shift:

 •  Monday to Friday
 •  Occasional Weekend Work
 •  40 hours a week

Pay:

 •  £44,000 - £48,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

 •  Manage satellite sites in Scotland and Hertfordshire, requiring some travel and nights away.
 •  Contract and programme management to ensure KPIs, installation targets, and deliverables are met.
 •  Write and review processes, ensuring processes are implemented and monitored appropriately.
 •  Produce and analyse progress reports, update costs, and forecasts.
 •  Management of subcontractors, ensuring they work to a high standard whilst maintaining health and safety requirements.
 •  Manage direct reports, including appraisals, objectives settings and workload management.
 •  Implement risk management processes, review risk registers and manage risk controls.
 •  Ensure periodic review of progress, budget resources and forward planning are carried out, and lookahead programme are in place.
 •  Produce and update work plans, liaising with other departments to ensure dates are realistic and achievable.
 •  Identify risks, elevate the major ones to the risk register and work to mitigate risks with management team.

Requirements:

At least 3 years proven experience working in a similar role.
 •  A background in civil engineering, facilities maintenance, traffic management or manufacturing.
 •  Creation of method statements and risk assessments and compiling pricing and creating complex quotations.
 •  Experience in a similar role with a background in Project Management.
 •  Full UK Driving Licence is required.
