Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer
An exciting opportunity for a Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer to join the team based in Manchester, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities:
• Preparing and checking Preliminary Risk Assessments (desk studies), technical advice notes, drawings and geotechnical and geo-environmental interpretative reports
• Prepare proposals and tenders and contribute to business development activity
• Management and delivery of Phase 1 and 2 Site Investigation reports
• Completion of Phase 3a Remediation Strategies
Qualifications and Experience:
• A comprehensive understanding of H&S obligations with regard to ground investigation works (e.g. production of site specific work risk assessments, below ground utility avoidance etc).
• Full UK driving license and use of vehicle
• Experience engaging with outside parties including, clients planning consultants, project management, regulatory authorities and clients
• Extensive experience supervising Phase 2 Site Investigations including the logging of soil / rock formations, sampling protocols and subsequent monitoring works
• Experience managing and procuring 3rd party site investigation contractors
• Proven track record in the production of quality factual and interpretive Investigation reports
