Due to the continuous growth this internationally renowned engineering company are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join them at their central Norwich site.
The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of a wide range of machinery.
As a Mechanical Fitter your main duty will be to build / manufacture items from component level to sub-assembly level, through to the assembling of complete systems.
Key Skills and Relevant Experience:
Able to read and fully understand technical engineering drawings for assembly and component parts.
Excellent bench fitting skills using a variety of hand and electric tools.
Confident in using a selection of manual machine tools such as Lathes, Milling Machines, Surface Grinders and Pedestal Drills, working to tight tolerances.
Experience precision measurement equipment such as Micrometers, Vernier's and Slip Gauges.
Completed a recognised apprenticeship as a Mechanical Fitter, Machine Builder, Assembly Technician or similar.
Educated to a minimum of NVQ / City & Guilds level 3 in a relevant discipline.
The working hours are Monday-Thursday 8:15am- 5.00pm and Friday 8:15am- 12:45pm.
You will be rewarded with a market rate salary which will increase as you train in the role.
In addition, you will receive 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays, company pension and free parking.
