This role would very much suit someone who is working in metal manufacturing who is ready to move to a more senior post and is keen on focussing on reducing waste, maximising team output and doing a hands on management role.
• Develop and implement an improvement strategy focusing on manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, production, and quality assurance, to develop and implement new products or processes.
• Monitor and analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Microsoft AX (MRP) – Routing and technical data overview and ownership
• Ensure product manufacturing techniques and work instructions highlight and confirm customer and internal specifications
• Managing resources to meet production delivery targets and operational costs within budget
• Ensure all staff have clear individual and team objectives and these are regularly reviewed and performance managed
• Have a clear understanding of what the team are expected to deliver in line with the company’s strategy and behaviour's
