Support Practitioner - Rothesay
Type: Full time (37.5), Part Time and relief roles available
Salary: £24,051 – £25,494 (pro rata) per annum / £12.30 – £13.04 based on qualifications, skills and experience
Additional Benefits:
• 35 days’ holiday per year (pro rata)
• Time and a half payment for any time worked over 37.5 hours per week
• Carr Gomm will reimburse the SSSC fee for all new workers applying for SSSC
registration

The Rothesay Care at Home service provides support to people to lead a good quality of life in their own homes. The service aims to help people sustain, recover or manage their health, skills and abilities to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
Our role is not to do things for people but to work with them. The service also provides support to those approaching the end of their lives in their own homes, where this is their choice.
Throughout the day, you will be supporting individuals with their daily life routine, as per their support plan. This will often include meal preparation, medication administration, and personal care as well as other aspects of their daily life.
The Rothesay day and overnight responder service provide an effective and efficient way to respond to known risks that occur on an unplanned basis, for example falls and other accidents. As well as this the service also provides planned supports.
The responder approach ensures that people remain safe and well in their own home, whilst reducing incidences of ambulance call-outs and hospital admissions. The responder approach is also more enabling as it removes – for some people – the requirement to rely on a sleepover service or 2:1 supports, by moving through a planned and risk-managed process towards greater independence and positive outcomes.
Although we are currently recruiting for our Care at Home and Responder services you could be asked to work in any of our services in Rothesay, if the needs of people supported change or your skills, experience and personality are better suited to one of our other services.
