A large and key public sector entity within the UK government, located in London.
Job Description
The Cost Accountant duties will include:
• Delivering cost recovery process as per agreed time lines, resolving internal and external issues on cost recovery for services that are recharged to government departments.
• Overseeing and managing budget management and forecasting for delivery of services - working closely with budget holders, service delivery teams and direct line reports
• Managing month end reporting and process.
• Preparing financial models to price projects, products and mixed deliverables.
• Providing support with data analysis and narrative for government reporting.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Cost Accountant will be a Qualified Accountant with good technical accounting skills who has previous line management experience to manage three staff.
Your exposure will include relevant experience working in managing cost recovery and include a full range of finance cycles (monthly, quarterly, annually).
You will need to be a confident user of Excel.
