Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Business Partnering the Finance Business plays a pivotal role in the success of the organisation.
The Finance Business Partner will aim to develop a culture of continuous improvement through the provision of a strong business support framework to the departments they are responsible for.
The role will include;
• Drive best practice in use of financial system in faculties and corporate departments as applicable to budget setting and management reporting
• To oversee the budget setting process devolving this responsibility to budget holders and where appropriate Corporate Departments while ensuring that a rigorous system of challenge and support is in place.
• Develop suitable and meaningful metrics aligned to strategic objectives to assess directorate and Corporate Department performance
• To develop suitable and organisation wide costing methodologies and appropriate investment appraisal models
• Review investment decisions
• Monitoring and review of performance and results for directorates and Corporate Departments and agreement of any actions resulting together with details of impact on forecast outturn.
• Monthly production and dissemination of business report pack
• Provide where appropriate input into new finance system development to ensure that finance systems are suitable for the organisation.
• Attend as required committees and working groups in support of Departmental objectives
• Support to subsidiaries as required.
• You will also assist the CFO on ad-hoc projects
Any other duties as determined from time to time by the post holders line manager
The Successful Applicant
You will be a qualified Accountant holding ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA
Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels across the organisation
Excellent communication skills
Highly analytical.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
What's on Offer
An initial 12 month FTC
Salary up to £54,000
