We are looking for a skilled and reliable caretaker to join our team at a well-respected secondary school in Sunderland. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the school is a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of school buildings, including classrooms, offices, and outdoor areas
• Carrying out general repairs and maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work
• Setting up and clearing away equipment and furniture for events and activities
• Providing support for school events, including evening and weekend work as required
Key Skills:
• Previous experience in a similar caretaking or facilities role
• Strong practical skills, with experience in maintenance and repair work
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines
• A commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all members of the school community
This is a full-time position, with 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary and benefits package, and will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and welcoming environment
