Overview:

It’s a great time to join Screwfix. Thanks to the hard work of our team and record-breaking sales, we’re proud to be one of the fastest-growing retailers in the UK.

Join our dynamic team as a Power BI Specialist and be at the forefront of transforming data into impactful insights! In this pivotal role, you'll craft and refine Power BI reports and dashboards, empowering key stakeholders with the knowledge to drive business growth and elevate customer experiences.
Your expertise will be instrumental in establishing best practices across the team while fostering a collaborative environment that values continuous learning and development. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact for a big retailer and thrive in a team that values diversity and supports your professional growth.

We believe that a hybrid, flexible working approach offers you – and your colleagues – the best of both worlds. Face-to-face collaboration is an integral part of our warm, friendly culture, so you’ll work from our head office three days a week, working flexibly around our core working hours of 10am-3pm.
Beyond that, how, when and where you work is up to you. With a subsidised canteen, free parking and a comfortable, relaxed environment, we’ve worked hard to build an office you’ll want to work in. We also know that, when it comes to school pick-ups and home deliveries, it’s nice to have the flexibility to do both.

Responsibilities:

 •  Data Analysis and Visualisation - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements, design, develop, evolve, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that visualise data effectively.

 •  Performance Optimisation - Continuously optimise Power BI reports and dashboards for speed, efficiency, and usability. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
 •  Data Quality Assurance - Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability by implementing data validation and cleansing processes. Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues as they arise.
 •  Documentation - Create and maintain documentation for Power BI solutions, including data models, report designs, and best practices.
