Job Description
• Prepare timely and accurate management accounts, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the preparation of Statutory Accounts
• Develop annual budgets in collaboration with department heads.
• Provide financial forecasts and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company's financial stability.
• Implement effective cash management strategies and optimise working capital.
• Prepare weekly performance reports from standard costing system information.
• Review and maintain standard costs.
• Review internal control processes to safeguard company assets.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Work with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely submission of tax returns.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
• Lead and develop the local finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Management Accountant should have:· Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role in a manufacturing business
• Proficiency in ERP systems and knowledge of financial software.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Proficiency in MS Office and finance software
• Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
