Our client in Lewisham is seeking a dynamic individual to effectively manage a caseload of accounts.
You will be ensuring rental income is optimised while supporting residents in maintaining their tenancies.
Key Responsibilities
Take proactive measures to manage a caseload of rent accounts, ensuring maximum rental income while providing support to residents to sustain their tenancies
Engage with residents through various channels, including phone calls, home visits, or office interviews
Provide advice and assistance to residents to help them maximise their income and avoid financial exclusion
Represent in possession proceedings at County Courts
Maintain accurate records related to arrears recovery actions, complete documentation for legal cases, and prepare reports to progress arrears cases in line with policies
Ensure all documentation and arrears actions adhere to timelines and meet the standards outlined in income recovery policies
Attend evictions as required, completing inventories of goods, and arranging for their removal and storage
Collaborate with external stakeholders such as Housing Benefit, DWP, Social Services, and Housing Options to address issues and prevent rent arrears
Work with internal colleagues to resolve issues like disrepair, succession, or property abandonment to prevent rent arrears
Meet individual performance targets on income collection and customer service standards and contribute to team targets
Provide training and induction for staff and work placements on operational processes and practices
Uphold excellent customer service standards across all aspects of work
Take ownership of personal learning and development
Adhere to all policies, including contractual standing orders, financial regulations, and HR policies and procedures, including Health & Safety and Equality & DiversityKey Requirements
Ability to interpret and analyse figures
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Previous experience working in a similar role
Strong IT skillsThis role is on a temporary basis up until November, to start at the beginning of May.
