We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technology Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join our UBDS Group Commercial team.

As a Technology Pre-sales Solutions Architect at UBDS, you will play a critical role in driving business growth by leading the technical solution design and proposal development process for our clients. You will collaborate closely with both potential and existing clients, our sales and delivery teams to understand business and technical requirements, develop compelling and innovative technical solution strategies, and create winning bib responses, proposals, and Statement of Works.

Responsibilities
 •  Customer Engagement and Needs Analysis: Engage with potential customers to understand their business challenges and technical requirements. This includes conducting workshops, meetings, and presentations to gather insights and assess how cloud solutions can address their needs.
 •  Proposal and Bid Management: Lead the preparation of proposals, bids, and RFPs, ensuring that they are technically sound, competitive, and compliant with client requirements.
 •  Effective Communication of Complex Proposals: Proven track record in crafting and presenting complex technical bids, translating intricate technology solutions into accessible language that resonates with customer needs.
 •  Technical Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise during the sales process. This includes preparing and delivering technical presentations, demonstrating how a product meets client needs, and preparing detailed product specifications.
 •  Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Stay abreast of market trends in cloud technologies, especially in Azure and AWS ecosystems. Develop strategies to position the company's offerings effectively in the market.
 •  Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure alignment and coherent strategy execution.
 •  Education and Training: Keep updated with the latest developments in cloud technology and undergo continuous learning. Also, provide training and mentorship to team members and other departments about cloud solutions.
 •  Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor on cloud transformation and adoption strategies.
 •  Cost and Risk Analysis: Evaluate costs, risks, and benefits of proposed solutions and strategies, ensuring they align with both the client's and the company's objectives.
 •  Feedback and Improvement: Collect feedback from client's post-implementation and use this information to improve future solutions and strategies.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience of working at C-level and have a strong background in pre-sales & solution architecture. You will have excellent technical expertise and communication skills, and a proven track record.
 •  10 to 15 years of relevant experience and at minimum of 5 years’ experience in a pre-sales or solution architect role, with demonstrated success in developing and delivering cloud, network, and data solutions.
 •  Experience of working in the new business environment, bidding on large and complex programmes, with outstanding ability to translate often complex technical environments into coherent and understandable solutions communicated both orally and in the written form.
 •  Expert knowledge of various cloud platforms, for example AWS and Azure, and experience in designing and deploying scalable and secure cloud architectures.
 •  Strong understanding of networking concepts, including SD-WAN, network security protocols, and cloud-native networking.
 •  Experience in the design or implementation of Data & AI (Artificial Intelligence) solutions to automate processes, enhance customer interactions, present data and create predictive models is beneficial.
 •  Experience in effectively communicating with a diverse audience through different communication forums (blogs, webinars, speaking events, executive leadership meetings) with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
 •  Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation), including the ability to listen effectively
 •  A track record of building rapport and close relationships with senior customer executives (e.g. C-Suite or direct reports of C-Suite)
 •  Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking, coupled with an output focussed approach to getting the job done – particularly in a bid scenario.
 •  Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
 •  Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and changing business environments.
 •  Ability to self-manage and work independently, work to tight deadlines, prioritize workloads and work with related business functions
