The Transport Planner duties and responsibilities are:
• Planning and coordinating daily transportation operations
• Optimising routes for maximum efficiency
• Ensuring compliance with transport regulations and safety standards
• Communicating with drivers and customers to keep them informed of delivery times
• Resolving any issues or delays in the transport process
• Monitoring and reporting on transport costs
• Keeping accurate records of transport activities
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of the logistics department
The Successful Applicant
A successful Transport Planner should have:
• Experience in a similar role within the transport and distribution industry
• Excellent knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to work well under pressure
