Business Development Manager (Automotive)

UK based

£55,000 - £60,000 per annum (OTE £70,000 per annum)

Position function:

We are seeking to find a charismatic, professional candidate for our client.

This is a UK Business Development Manager role promoting and enhancing the sales for a range of Welding equipment within the automotive Industry.

This role will include

Developing new business - travelling UK wide

Introducing our products to Key accounts

Liaising with Major national distributors/ retailers

Liaising with Major end users such as transport operators and workshop chains.

Identifying and converting prospect accounts

Growing the product ranges within existing accounts

Working Relationships:

The position reports to the UK Sales Director and will involve contact internally with all members of the UK team and occasional contact with staff in other countries.

Externally contacts will be with representatives of distributors at all levels, owners, managers, sales staff and purchasing managers.

Work Performed:

 •  Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products & new ways of reaching existing markets
 •  Research and fact find to obtain the appropriate contact in an organisation
 •  Generating leads and cold call prospective customers
 •  Fostering and developing relationships with customers
 •  Understanding the needs of the customers and being able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
 •  Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
 •  Ensure all employees are on board throughout the organisation
 •  Train customer employees
 •  Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the customers and marketing department
 •  Create and maintain a sales pipeline
 •  Liaise with European colleagues and develop strategy for any pan-European companies

Skills & Knowledge:

 •  Experienced as a Business Development Manager
 •  Proven track record winning Key accounts within the automotive industry
 •  Ability to Influence customers to range, sell and promote automotive products
 •  Analytical skills, identifying opportunities and present them internally and externally
 •  Presentation skills, able to produce and present to all levels of both internal and external customers
 •  Excellent Excel, Word & PowerPoint knowledge

You will have Direct contact to establish supply route with:

 •  Car Dealership groups
 •  Car Manufacturers
 •  Haulage companies
 •  Rail
 •  Bus & Coach
 •  Fast Fit Centres

Basic Salary £50,000 - £60,000 per annum. (OTE £70,000 per annum)

Fully expensed car, mobile, laptop

This role is UK wide - Ideally you will be living centrally in the Midlands area
