My busy Kirkby-in-Ashfield based client are currently seeking experienced Polisher/Saw Operators for their impressive, modern production facility with immediate effect.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• You will be expected to understand the production schedule and have the ability to work to targeted expectations.
• Able to read and understand production drawings to complete work to the correct standards and quality expectations of the business.
• Loading products onto work benches using lifting equipment.
• Polishing and fabricating products to a high standard, ensuring all quality checks are made before loading onto racks for collection, full training can be given.
• Completing production sheets correctly and handing into your manager once the job is completed.
• Assisting management with unloading/loading materials and stock checks.
• Regularly maintaining any tooling used and keeping your working area in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
• Comply with all Health and Safety procedures relevant to your working area.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed:
• Able to work in a heavy/wet (water based) industry .
• Knowledge and ability to use various air and electrically supplied hand tooling is preferred (polishers, grinders, drills, etc…)
• Flexible and able to work in other areas of the business as and when required.
• Machine operating experience.
• A good understanding of English/Numeracy to understand production paperwork.
• Reliable & good time management.
• Team player.
*Overtime is essential as and when the company requires to suit the business needs*
Working hours are 7am-4pm, Monday to Thursday & 7am-2pm on Friday.
The hourly rate ranges from £11.50-£12.50 per hour, depending on experience.
These roles are being offered on a ‘Temp to Perm’ basis and so we are only looking to hear from candidates looking for long term work.
